Frequently asked questions about the Type II Certificate

The Type II Certificate is a Health Care Worker Certificate that was accepted by USCIS in order to change visa status for employment in the health care fields.


FCCPT Visa Credentials Certification (Type II Certificate)
This certificate met the requirements set by the USCIS for those individuals who were: licensed in the U.S. at the time of the federal regulation and were seeking adjustment of visa status or needed to produce a Healthcare Worker Certificate to maintain visa status.

Applications for this service were suspended Sept 1, 2009.

The Type I comprehensive review is now the only pathway to the visa screening for all candidates.
